You’re actually reading the default “Hello, World!” post that comes with a fresh WordPress installation. Rather than simply deleting it and making a new post, I’m editing it to give it new life and meaning. I’ve been going through something similar myself over the last couple of years.
I love making content. I’ve always loved it. It’s why I’ve been doing it for over 25 years. For more than two and a half decades, I’ve been writing, photographing and filming content for the Internet. And I still love it.
This isn’t meant to read like a sob story, but the last few years have been difficult. Both in terms of life in general and with work. Of course, there are the obvious implications of 2020 from which we’ve all suffered, but also some health issues (I’m ok now), a new relationship, a house move, new commitments and all of the other things life throws at us.
Life has changed a lot for me over the last few years – definitely for the better – and I’m still trying to figure out how to adapt. My priority now, though, is to start regularly releasing content again, whether it be here, on YouTube or somewhere else – Yes, I have a couple of projects in the works. I’ll tell you about them when they’re ready.
So, this post serves as both a literal and metaphorical new beginning for both the site and the next step in my content creation journey.
As an aside, any posts on this website with a published date before this one are posts from my old blog that I have transitioned over. They’re mostly here for archival purposes because people still seem to find them useful, and there’s the occasional reference to them in a future post. I may modernise and update some of them at some point, though.
The date of this post is also very specific and marked a historical new beginning in my life. Maybe I’ll talk about it one day.
Thanks for swinging by. I hope to see you again soon!
